From winter 2025/26, the Torrent and Gemmi lifts will become part of the Indy Pass network, which comprises over 270 independent ski resorts worldwide, including 13 in Europe. Together with Portes du Soleil, Leukerbad is the first partner for the Indy Pass in Switzerland. This gives winter sports enthusiasts from all over the world the opportunity to get to know the Torrent ski resort or the Gemmi touring area over two days – the ideal addition to the existing options in Leukerbad.

The Indy Pass in Switzerland

Leukerbad - Torrent & Gemmi

Two days of unlimited access to the Gemmi und Torrent areas, including use of the ski and cross-country skiing slopes. Before your first trip, take your Indy Pass to the ticket office at the respective resort or to the guest service centre in Leukerbad, where you will receive two personalised day tickets.

Portes du Soleil

The Portes du Soleil ski area on the French border can be reached from Leukerbad by car in about 1.5 hours or by public transport in less than 3 hours. International guests can therefore easily combine a visit to both resorts with the Indy Pass.

What is included?

The Indy Pass includes two days of unlimited access to the Gemmi and Torrent resorts, including use of the slopes. This applies to the Indy Base Pass, Indy+ Pass, Indy Add-On Pass, and Indy+ Add-On Pass. The Indy XC Pass is only valid for Gemmi since there is no cross-country skiing on Torrent. 

Is there a discount for the third day?

No, only the first two days are included. Unlike some other Indy Pass partners, Leukerbad does not offer a discount for the third day in our resorts. 

How long is the season in Leukerbad?

The Torrent 2025/26 winter season begins on 19th of December and ends on 12th of April. The Gemmi cable car runs from 20th of December 2025 to 19th of April 2026. 

Do the days have to be consecutive?

No, the Indy Pass can be used to receive two separate day passes, which can be used independently. A combination of one day pass for Gemmi and one day pass for Torrent is also possible. 

Is the Indy Pass intended to replace the Magic Pass in the future?

No, the Indy Pass is an addition to the existing options, which also include the Magic Pass. Unlike the Magic Pass, the Indy Pass is predominantly aimed at the American and international markets and is mainly interesting to guests who would like to try different destinations all over the world.
