"Eggu" Trail Albinen

The "Eggu" Trail leads to 17 interesting corners, or Eggu in Valais German, around Albinen. From mid-May to the end of October, you can learn interesting facts about the herbs and culture of this rustic mountain village. Outside the season, the trail can be walked from Eggu village 7 to 16. The path is well signposted and can be walked in both directions. It is best to plan half a day to enjoy culinary delights as well.

On the Eggu Trail you will also learn about medicinal herbs, edible mountain herbs and the flora of the mountain regions. At several stations you will learn what the herbs are used for. Keep your eyes and ears open and observe butterflies, nimble lizards and other animals along the way.
