The Idyllic Mountain Village with Immeasurable Charm
Overview
In the 11th century, a German-speaking community immigrated from Leukerbad, settled in the area and turned today's Albinen into a permanently inhabited and cultivated area. Today, the village boasts numerous typical Valais mountain farmhouses and barns, the famous glass windows of the village church and the wonderful view over the Rhone Valley.
Recharge your batteries with a walk in and around the village, which is rightly included in the list of ‘sites of national importance worth protecting’. Winter sports enthusiasts can take the free ski bus to the Torrent cable car valley station in Leukerbad just 14 minutes away. If you prefer to come by car, you will always find a parking space.
