Start the day early and enjoy a unique sunrise on the Torrenthorn. The changing light conditions especially are breathtaking. A professional hiking guide will accompany you on the trail.

Albinen Ladders

On the airy path of the ancestors: Experience a piece of Valais history up close. The Albinen ladders were once the only connection between Leukerbad and the mountain village of Albinen – a daring path used by brave packers, farmers, and merchants for travel and the transport of goods. Today, they invite you to a very special guided hike.

Thermal Spring Footbridges

Hike to the source of Leukerbad's thermal water and find out more about the origin of Leukerbad's "gold”.

Historical Gemmi Trail Hike

Embark on a journey through time over one of the oldest mountain passes in the Alps: the legendary Gemmi Path. Accompanied by a local guide, you will follow in the footsteps of Stone Age hunters, bold packhorses of the Middle Ages, and famous characters of modern times.

Flüealp

Where humans, animals, and the mountain world become one: Experience the traditional alpine culture of Valais up close on this guided hike. The route takes you from Leukerbad through the lush meadows of Folljeret and Majing up to Flüealp, where the relationship between humans, animals, and nature is impressively showcased.

Geissweg-Höhenweg

Experience a spectacular hike along the Geissweg, a narrow mountain path carved into the rock that winds beneath the imposing walls of the Daubenhorn. This route offers breathtaking views of the village of Leukerbad and the Dala Valley – perfect for anyone looking to experience nature in its most authentic form.

Historische Lawinenwegwanderung

Living with avalanche risk: Discover on this educational hike above Leukerbad one of the most significant protective structures of Switzerland, the Werimauer. Built between 1829 and 1831, it is considered the first avalanche wall in Switzerland and impressively narrates the centuries-old struggle for survival of the Walliser mountain population against the forces of nature.

Kulturweg Dala-Raspille

Experience the diversity of Valais all in one during this culturally and historically rich hike. The Dala–Raspille cultural trail takes you from Leukerbad through the Dala Valley, Inden and Varen to Salgesch – along ancient Roman paths, through vineyards, and across the language border marked by the Raspille River.
